Laputa, Castle in the Sky (天空の城ラピュタ Tenkū no Shiro Rapyuta)

This fantastic movie is the story of a girl Sheeta that hides a powerful secret without knowing it. Her ancestors lived in a castle in the sky but before she was born her family had to live on earth. 

Sheeta (that later in the movie we see that her real name is Lusheeta Toel Ui Laputa) has an amulet that can take her to the castle in the sky, but it is also actively sought by everyone, mainly thieves, who knows the story of Laputa and wants to take control over its treasure. At the end, Sheeta and her friend Pazu could visit Laputa, discover all the secrets and survive to return to earth.

One of the things that I really enjoy about this movie was that Laputa was the home of giant robots which took care of the living things there. And in real life in the Ghibli Museum in Japan there is a exact replica of this robot. Very impressive, I want to go there one day soon!
